Research and Publications
Newly discovered research materials are included in each newsletter. We maintain a bibliography of published work on or referring to members of the Hassall family and seek to foster original research that will result in additional publications. The bibliography is available upon request from project coordinator Graham Hassall.
Copies of Jean Stewart’s Rowland and Elizabeth Hassall: the history of their family in Australia have all been sold. We would like to revise the text, to include updates and corrections, before reprinting.

The Reverend James S Hassall was the oldest son of Thomas Hassall. He was also grandson of Rowland and Elizabeth Hassall and his maternal grandfather was the Rev Samuel Marsden. He was born in 1823 and lived till 1904, publishing his reminisces in 1902.
